Malchow's Tech Bytes πŸ‘©πŸ»‍πŸ’» ~ October 4th

Week 2 of CrAzY~ my 2nd building was informed last Sunday afternoon that we were shutting down and moving to virtual Monday morning. On Monday, we found out the entire district was shutting down as of Wednesday and moving to virtual (as had the majority of districts around us). Needless to say, WI is not in a good position right now and the sad realization is that the cases are not coming from the schools, it's community levels that are shutting us down. We are tentatively down for 3 weeks and crossing our fingers that we'll be back in our buildings with kids at that time. 🀞🏼🀞🏼🀞🏼🀞🏼🀞🏼🀞🏼🀞🏼🀞🏼🀞🏼🀞🏼🀞🏼🀞🏼 (Everything crossed!)

I hope there are some tips and tricks that you will find useful this week for whatever environment you are currently teaching in.

4 Seesaw activities in 1 for πŸš’ Fire Prevention Week!

Being a firefighter's wife, Fire Prevention Week is near and dear to my heart. I created a 4 page Seesaw Mulitpage Activity to help your students reflect on their learning this week.

The first 3 pages are all drag and drop activities ~ labeling a firefighter, labeling a firetruck, and sliding labels to show what you should/shouldn't do if you see smoke/fire. The last page asks children to draw and share a fire safety tip using the new creative tools.

You can find this activity on my author page in the Seesaw library or click on this link

Fire Safety Week is just around the corner!

As the wife of a firefighter, Fire Prevention Week always has a special place in my heart. This week there are several resources you may find helpful including a Fire Safety Kahoot as well as a way to create a digital  class book of fire safety tips.
